When searching for an investment property, don't ask yourself if you would live in it.
Rather, look at whether the property is located in an area that has a history of steady rental occupancy from nearby industry, commercial, medical or educational centres, at a rental that the majority of the population can afford.
If it also offers good access to shops, schools, churches, sport and other facilities (in keeping with the profile of the local population), then you are on course to making a sound investment decision.
