*  Have a building plan that also takes future requirements into account, eg, will you want to sell in a few years, have more children, or maybe accommodate an elderly relative?

*  Aim for a broad market appeal.

*  Choose quality fixtures for better wear and a good impression when selling.

*  Do not attempt major renovations in the kitchen and bathroom without experience, as mistakes could be costly.
